Nardeen Weslly
I'm an Egyptian, self-taught artist, currently living in California.
In my school-days, ART wasn't a valued subject to the community. Yet all I remember from school is art classes. I never forget a comment from my ART teacher who said "If you say you cannot draw this, then who can?" She gave me confidence in my talent and artworks. Though I got my bachelor degree as an archeologist! In my last year of university, I started oil painting and that got me through a lot in my life. Since then, I NEVER stopped. In 2020 I dedicated myself to be a full-time artist.
I have two types of art in my art career, one is landscapes and figurative paintings. This is where I reflect my surroundings, new places and moments of inspiration. The other one is semi-surrealistic (or metaphor) paintings where I express my overwhelmed moments, subconscious energy, abstract ideas or deep emotions.
Both types lead to CREATING, which I think, I should be doing all my life, to CREATE and SHARE. I am hoping it will inspire you to BE, to DO, to THINK or to FEEL something you have been LOOKING for.
